“More Dreams are Realized and Extinguished in Bombay, than Any other Place in India”
Mumbai, “the city of dreams”, aka the “Mayanagri”, is still a dream for thousands. Be it the Mumbai local that takes a lot of crowd into it or the beautiful beaches where most of the lovers express their love, everything just completes the city of gold.
It is truly said that “You can take a boy out of Mumbai, but cannot take Mumbai out of a boy”. And this is not a mere statement. All the activities involved in the awesome place defines it all. Let’s have a look.
Locals, The lifeline of Mumbai
Well, being a Mumbaikar, you will definitely know the worth of every second. The speed at which the locals run there is a play of some seconds. The best part is you don’t have to bear the trouble of entering and going outside the local. The crowd does it all for you.
One more reason for being so much preference of locals is due to the high charges of auto rickshaws there. Their whole life around the so-called “meter”.
Vada Pav, the food appetizer
If you are willing to fill your tummy in just 10 rs, then the city is always with you. You can get Vada Pav at almost all the stalls there. The amazing taste of Pav with masala and spicy vada followed by the fried chilies just blows our mind. And here we can say, it is the city, where Vada Pav beats the Mcdonald's burger.

Lalbaug cha Raja, Ganpati
If you hadn’t seen the Mumbai’s 10 days long Ganpati festival, then believe me you don’t know the city at its best. The 20 ft long idol of Lord Ganpati covered all with the Vermillion is just eye-catching. It seems all the Mumbai has gathered at one place to do the “Visarjan” of their God.
The Marine Drive
If you want to enjoy the cool breeze to its fullest, then do come to Marine drive. Walking around the beach can give you a soothing effect. The beach fully indulges you to the PDA(Public Display of Affection), as you can see all the couples loving deeply to their partners. In all this, I am sure you will be able to manage time for you and your thoughts.
The Juhu Chaupati
Want to see the relaxed side of the “Running City”? I would prefer, just visit the Juhu beach at the time of sunset. Believe me, you could actually feel the setting sun meeting the sea. Juhu beach is the longest and probably the most beautiful among all the beaches of Mumbai.
The local train vendors bring all for you at one place
Traveling into Mumbai’s local train is more than an adventure. Actually, the crowd, the speed and the most important the vendors in the train. From a small pin to bracelet or a saree and what not, you can get all at one place. Also if you are searching for something like your name is written on it, you can also get them there. Well, thanks to the vendors, they really help us a lot when we are sort of things and really need it.
The Disney Land
Be it Disneyland or Essel World, both are still a dream for various children. And yes, the city of dreams brings this for you. The amazing rides and swings just blow our mind. Also if you are looking for some educational trip for the grown-ups, then places like Nehru Planetarium, Gateway of India, Maritime Museum, Kamla Nehru Stadium and Hanging Gardens are something you can really go for. Ajanta Caves are the pride of the city. Most of our ancient history belongs from there.
Rains!! I think the name is enough
Well, you might have listened a lot about “Mumbai Ki Barish”. The best part is it can happen anytime so you just have to be prepared with your umbrella or raincoat anytime. The scene at Marine beach is worth seeing at the time of rainfall.
Mumbai's National Park
The Sanjay National National is also known as Borivali national park is one of the notable parks of Mumbai crowded by 2 million visitors daily. It is spread over a region of 104 sq.kms. Popular attractions of the place are Kanheri caves, rocky cliffs, tiger safari and a lot more. A place to must visit here.
At last, I just want to add, Mumbai is the much addictive place that once you lived here, you would not bother to go from here anyway.
